Week of October 26th - 30th

ENG4c: This class is finishing their assignment on Animal Farm, presenting and handing in a cue card. They will be doing their last project from the textbook - an advertisement for an imaginary product and then we are going to look at "In Our Time" - Hemmingway for the remainder of this week and next.

ENG2D: This class made some corrections to their Lord of the Flies test, handed in an assignment for the novel and got some prepatory handouts for the next novel "Fahrenheit 451". We talked about McCarthyism and issues of conspiracy during the 1950's. While Lord of the Flies involved working in teacher assigned groups, "... 451" will be worked on individually, the class has been given a package of questions, images and short answer work to complete on their own time with a due date of November 20th for final completion. As usual we continue to have silent reading on their personal novels at the start of class.

CHC2P: This class is looking at the 1920's and 1930's. We viewed the movie "Seabiscuit" and they had questions to answer for this time period video. We will look at the role of women in society, the growth of cities and suburbs, the expansion of business and the boom of the economy until finally with nothing to sustain the boom; the crash of 1929. We will be looking at this time period for the next couple weeks.

Happy Halloween !!!!!!
