Semester Begins!!!!

Welcome Back to everyone!!!
This year promises to be another exciting year with much happening within the school, we hope you get involved where you can and want.

ENG1P: This class is going to begin with reviewing some concepts such as parts of speech, the importance of punctuation, grammar and confused words.  We will make our way towards the narrative - why we tell stories, what are their meanings and what elements can be found in a narrative.  We are going to wake up our summer brains and jump right in.

CHC2P: This class is going to recap Canada from the late 1800's to the early 1900's in the first week.  It has been at least two years since taking a history course and a quick review is needed before setting up the origins of WWI.  There will be some handouts and work sheets for the review before getting into the new textbook and jumping right into the causes of the war.

ENG2P: This class is going to begin with reviewing common errors in writing such as knowing the difference between to, too and two; their, there and they're; which, witch and many more confused words.  We will also discuss the Final Summative and students will be given the responsibility of three independent novels to have for their project at the end of the semester.  We will also begin by examining powerful words, when and how to use them and writing with them as well.
