Week of September 21st - 25th

Another week into September!

ENG4C: This class is working on a Literacy Report. The class is gathering data about a province, state or country and profiling it's literacy issues, improvements, declines and perhaps making comparisons. We will also be looking at a couple more articles in the textbook later in the week.

ENG2D: This class begins the week with speeches!!! Nerves aside, they have worked hard on these and should be proud of themselves getting the hard stuff over with. We will move onto the Lord of the Flies and how to present a seminar. They will look at literacy terms used by author's to achieve effects in a novel. We will as a class look at the first chapter together and then, working in partner's begin to breakdown the other chapter's in the novel.

CHC2P: This class will have their first unit test on Tuesday - it will cover all the information we covered on Canada at the Turn of the Century. The class has notes taken from within the class and their textbook from which to study. After the test, the class will look at the transition into a Nation under the pressure of a World War and thus will begin our look at Canada's role in WWI.
