Week of November 23rd - 27th

It is the last week of November already - time flies when you are having fun.

ENG4C: This class has been given their seminar procedures and have chosen their own partner to work with. We continue to cover relevant issues to To Kill A Mockingbird, such as racism, addiction, Klu Klux Klan, and the Depression. As a class we will read the novel together and discuss what is occuring in order to prepare the class for their seminar dates.

ENG2D: This class finished the futuristic Fahrenheit 451 and have moved on to something a little more realistic with Catcher In The Rye. The recieved pre-novel handouts to help them know what to expect, we compared novels covered so far in the semester and the students were assigned a partner to work with on a question package and thematic work. We will be working on this novel until Christmas time. Don't forget to read your independant novel, bring it to class for silent reading.

CHC2P: This class observed media on what happened in Poland during World War II involving Polish Jews. As a class we will look at the holocaust and the atrocities that were discovered upon the allies victory. We will look at the end of the War in Europe and the continued role Canadians played in the War with Japan and that eventual end.
