HSP3M: This class is catching up on their Journal Portfolio entries before moving from the textbook to their notes. The class will review independent and dependent variables, population and sample population and statistics before creating their own questionnaires. The class will decide on a social issue they wish to explore, select a sample group, design a questionnaire, administer the questionnaire and perform statistical analysis on their results. The practice version will be done in class this week and the 'real deal', after March Break.
ENG2D: This class has observed three different ways to present a seminar on Lord of the Flies, but there are more. The class has been assigned partners and a chapter that they are responsible for presenting; character, setting, plot, quotations, literary devices, connections and reinforced learning. Class time will be given on Monday and Tuesday with seminars starting on Wednesday for chapters #4 and #5, Thursday is Summative reading, and Friday will be chapter #6. After the March Break the rest of the chapters will be presented.
ENG1P: This class has completed questions for the novel Crabbe and have submitted #1 - #8 for grading. We will continue to read, answer questions and fill in a chart on the novel as well as work out of our textbook on paragraphing and creating a newpaper article. After the March Break we will continue with Crabbe and tie the newspaper article to the novel.
