Week of November 14th - 18th

ENG1P: This class will be finishing the novel "Crabbe" this week!! That means that all content questions will need to be completed and submitted as well as their charts from the novel. In addition there will be another response journal on the novel at its conclusion. The class will be writing a quiz based on the notes taken throughout the novel study, the content of the novel with emphasis on character(s), setting and plot occurances. We are hoping to view a movie with a similar theme following the novel for those students who are more visual.

CHC2P: This class is looking at the Second World War, we had a Remembrance week filled with Poppy lessons, guest speakers and "Saving Private Ryan" and now we are back to the effects of WWII on Canada and Canadians. We will look at how Hitler was able to convince much of Europe to follow his ways, how Canada stepped up to fight and how we were affected at home.

ENG2P: This class is continuing to read "Stones". The class is answering questions for each of the chapters and are getting supplemental material as well about the novel, Orillia (the setting of the story) and different beliefs of the world. The class is keeping track of the novel with a chart on each chapter so they will be able to study for the novel test rather easily.
